The Railhead Treatment Train as with all our models is within 0.5mm of real scale,
it is a fully working model which we use on our club track.
This model is designed to be propelled by a powered loco.
The front is a four wheeled dummy loco, there are a pair of motorised brushes both
in front and to the rear of the front axle which scrub the track and also eject leaves
and twigs, between the axles is a set of squeeze rubbers which remove the water
etc. from the track.
On the real rhtt the rear part of the set is a water container but on this model the
tanks are false, this section houses another set of squeeze rubbers for a final water
removal, at the rear of the back axle is a sandite-box, this is filled with scouring
powder which is ejected from the box automatically onto the track, this helps prevent
wheel slip, especially where there are steam locos operating on the same tracks.
The 12 volt batteries are located under the roof (batteries are not supplied with the
model)
