This classic and very powerful loco is built to the highest standards in order to give you trouble free running, it is a delight to drive and you may purchase at either of two stages of construction
The Class 66 can be supplied in EWS, DRS, GBRf, Freightliner and Fastline liveries,
it can also be supplied in European liveries
Our class 66 is available with either a 4 door outline (shown above) or the new 5 door outline which we had on show for the first time at The South West Model Engineering Exhibition in April 2009
The body sits on a full length laser cut welded & powder-coated steel chassis
The bogies are manufactured with 6mm laser cut welded & powder-coated steel
The bogies are easily removed for carrying by removing one electric plug on each.
The body lifts off easily to facilitate battery removal
In 5” power is supplied via 2 x 12 volt batteries through a 4QD electronic controller to 4 x 285 watt motors (two on each 6 wheeled bogie) which run through a reducing gear to the wheels
In 7¼” Power is supplied via 2 or 4 x 12 volt batteries through an electronic controller to 4 x 285 watt motors (two on each 6 wheeled bogie) which run through a reducing gear to the wheels with the option to upgrade to 6 motors

All loco bogies are assembled
The customer has two choices:
Our locos may be purchased, fully finished and ready to run apart from batteries and terminals
If customer is collecting the loco batteries can be supplied at cost, and apart from fitting the batteries there will be no assembly. Sound systems are available and can also be fitted by us during manufacture at extra cost
Locos can be supplied in part built with Bogie Kits and Welded Chassis, the body is primer coated.
The loco assembly is very straightforward. The customer normally paints the loco to their own taste and affix the supplied graphics, all electrical components including two tone horns and lighting are included
As an optional extra with the kit version we will paint and graphic your loco body, please ask for details

We also supply cases for your loco and bogies, which help to keep everything clean
and prevent damage during transit.
