This classic and very powerful loco is built to the highest standards in order to give you trouble free running, it is a delight to drive and you may purchase at either of two stages of construction
The Class 66 can be supplied in EWS, DRS, GBRf, Freightliner and Fastline liveries, it can also be supplied in European liveries
Our class 66 is available with either a 4 door outline (shown above) or the new 5 door outline which we had on show for the first time at The South West Model Engineering Exhibition in April
The body sits on a full length 4mm laser cut steel chasis
The bogies are manufactured with 6mm laser cut steel
The bogies are easily removed for carrying by removing one electric plug on each. The roof lifts off easily to facilitate battery removal
In 5" Power is supplied via 2 x 12volt batteries through an electronic controller to 4 x 285 watt motors (two on each 6 wheeled bogie) which run through a reducing gear to the wheels
In 7¼" Power is supplied via 4 x 12volt batteries through an electronic controller to 4 x 285 watt motors (two on each 6 wheeled bogie) which run through a reducing gear to the wheels
We also supply a 6 motor option, 3 motors on each bogie
Each axle box is fully independently sprung
Unless otherwise requested a plug in hand controller will be supplied
The customer has two choices:
Our locos may be purchased, fully finished and ready to run apart from batteries and terminals. (if customer is collecting the loco these can be supplied at cost, and apart from fitting the batteries there will be no assembly). Sound systems are available at extra cost and can also be fitted by us during manufacture
Locos can be supplied in kit form with Bogie Kits and Welded Chassis, the body is primer coated. The loco assembly is very straightforward. The customer normally paints the loco and adds logos to their own taste, all electrical components including two tone horns and lighting
As an optional extra we will paint and graphic your loco body, please ask for details
Sound systems, ammeters, speedometers and battery condition meters may be purchased seperately

We also supply cases for your loco and bogies, which help to keep everything clean and prevent damage during transit.
